The Banjo Patterson Inn (The Banj)

The Banjo Patterson Inn is the first hotel and pub on the left as you pull into Jindabyne. It has a fantastic view of Lake Jindabyne and offers a range of great accommodation options for visitors. Once inside this popular Jindabyne pub, there are three bars to get a cold drink including the cocktail bar on the ground floor. The cocktail bar offers weekly drink specials such as their delicious coconut espresso martini. Also on the ground floor, you will find Clancys Brasserie Restaurant. A classic pub needs a classic Aussie restaurant and you can’t go past the chicken parmi.



Once you head upstairs, you’ve got the option of the main bar on the lakeside and the overflow bar on the other side. The overflow bar also has a pizza and burger restaurant. On Monday nights they have a special where you can get a burger and a beer for $15!

The Banjo puts on a lot of events during summer and winter like trivia on Tuesdays and the meat raffle followed by live music every Friday. Looking for somewhere to party in Jindabyne during winter? The Jindabyne Bowls Club (The Bowlo)
The Jindabyne Bowls Club, also known as the Bowlo, is the perfect place to enjoy a cold beer. Located opposite the Banjo Patterson Inn, the Bowlo sits on the edge of picturesque Lake Jindabyne. With a large main bar and dining room adjacent, the Bowlo offers guests the classic Aussie pub experience. The Jindabyne Bowling Club bistro serves a huge menu for lunch and dinner. Also, during winter on Monday nights, visitors to the pub can enjoy wings night!


There are plenty of weeknight events like Trivia on Thursday, Wednesday, and Friday night meat raffles and even a Sunday roast!
The Bowls Club is a great place for a summer arvo party as you can get out on the green and play a round of bowls. If you fancy a round of squash, the Bowlo has courts downstairs for rent. And like any other club in Australia, visitors are not permitted to wear hats inside.

Lake Jindabyne Hotel (LJs)

Lake Jindabyne Hotel is a spacious pub with indoor and outdoor seating. With two main bars on either side of the building, visitors can spread out and enjoy one of the many beers on tap. This Jindabyne pub has two pool tables and two gaming areas if that’s your thing. And a large outdoor seating area and a balcony to watch the sunset over Lake Jindabyne.
Aside from the main restaurant that serves the biggest and best parmis in town. The LJs have invited their downstairs neighbours, Jindy Thai, to set up shop inside the main dining area. This means you have the option of beef rendang or a steak and chips for dinner. The bistro is open for lunch and dinner, all year round.
The Ljs also offers lakeside accommodation during summer and winter and a fully stocked bottle shop with a huge Aussie beer and wine range.
Jindabyne Brewery

Jindabyne Brewery isn’t your typical pub but they brew and sell beer, which puts it on this list. Opening in 2015, the purpose-built shed was built to accommodate a brewery and a bar all under the same roof. The Jindabyne Brewery has 4 house beers and a series of special brews that change every season. They also serve cider and a few local wines if you’re craving something sweeter.
The food on offer is so good they only have 8 items on the menu. Try the veal schnitzel with potato salad and saukraut or just fill up on cheese with the Rockstock deli grazing board. The chips are also a hit for adults and kids alike. They sell takeaway 6 packs and cases of their refreshing local beer so stock up before heading home.
Bring your friend or bring your dog. Jindabyne Brewery is a great place to unwind after a long day exploring the Snowy Mountains.
